At Northpoint Vineyard Church, we believe our children’s Sunday morning experience is just as important as our adults’.

That’s why we’re an ORANGE church!

ORANGE is strategic about inciting wonder for preschoolers and provoking discovery for elementary aged children. Orange combines the two primary influences that impact a kid’s life: Church and Family and connects parents and leaders with the same strategy and same end goal.

When you arrive at Northpoint Vineyard Church for the first time, our welcome team will show you to the back of our atrium where Kidspoint check in takes place. We gather some basic information from you, give you some information
about our Kidspoint program, and show you and your kids to their rooms and introduce them to their teachers.

Kidspoint leaders contact parents personally or via text message during the service if there are any issues or concerns with a child.

The Kidspoint Experience…

Babies

Children ages 0-1 are loved on, cared for, and prayed for during service. Volunteers work with parents to individualize a schedule for each of our littlest kiddos. Orange Parent CUEs are sent home monthly for parents to begin to engage intentionally each week with the smallest kiddos.

Preschool

first look PRESCHOOL

First Look INCITES WONDER in the heart of a preschooler.

STRATEGY: For children ages 2-5, First Look curriculum is designed so that each preschooler will grow up believing that:

  • God made me.
  • God loves me.
  • Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

MESSAGE: First Look gives preschoolers their introduction to the story of God by providing weekly Bible story presentations that are highly creative, interactive, and age-specific. Each lesson emphasizes a monthly Bottom Line to help make it easily applicable.

FAMILY: Kidspoint uses First Look’s monthly Parent CUEs to give parents support during this stage of life. Each Parent CUE provides a summary of the weekly lesson and suggested activities that parents can easily do with their preschooler during the regular rhythm of their week.

COMMUNITY: First Look introduces preschoolers to the Small Group experience. This save environment builds trust as children learn about God through the loving care of consistent leaders who embrace them in order to see God’s love and meet God’s family.

INFLUENCE: First Look regularly teaches preschoolers to think of others.

PRESCHOOL SCHEDULE:

Social Activity: Providing time for fun interaction

Worship: A mix of simple songs about Jesus and modern upbeat worship songs with fun motions

Video Bible Story: Communicating God’s truth in engaging ways

Prayer: A time to thank Jesus!

Small Group Activities: Creating a safe place to connect

Elementary

STRATEGY: The 252 Basics curriculum is designed to shape identity through planting these truths in the heart of every elementary-aged child:

  • I need to make the wise choice. (Wisdom)
  • I can trust God no matter what. (Faith)
  • I should treat others the way I want to be treated. (Friendship)

MESSAGE: The story of God reveals the character of God. That’s why 252 Basics is organized around key Bible stories that help kids discover Jesus and reflect His character to the world around them. Every month presents a new Life App to help children discover more about God’s character. And each Life App is unpacked through a weekly Bottom Line—a short phrase so easy to remember that it can be reinforced at home throughout the week.

FAMILY: Kidspoint uses 252 Basic’s Parent CUEs to give parents support during this stage of life. Each Parent CUE provides a summary of the weekly lesson and two MealTime questions to help start a conversation.

COMMUNITY: 252 Basics continues to build on a child’s experience of community by creating opportunities for life-change through Small Groups. Every Small Group resource is designed to support a safe environment with consistent leaders who will engage children to trust God’s character and live out God’s story. Small groups in Kidspoint are made up of 4-6 children and separated into groups comprised of K-1st graders, 2nd-3rd graders, and 4th-5th graders so our kids are learning with their peers.

INFLUENCE: 252 Basics emphasizes the importance of loving and serving others throughout the year as children learn to live out God’s character through monthly Life Apps.
